- Can a flagpole withstand high winds?
- Yes. Our one-piece residential aluminum flagpoles are manufacturer-rated 86–142 MPH unflagged (60–105 MPH flying the recommended 4x6 or 5x8 ft flag), and commercial poles are rated higher. - Yes. Every American flag we sell is 100% made in the USA with sewn stripes, embroidered stars, and reinforced grommets, in nylon for everyday flying or 2-ply polyester for high wind.
- What is the difference between residential and commercial flagpoles?
- Residential flagpoles are 20–30 ft one-piece aluminum poles with a 3–4 inch butt and 0.125 inch wall, sized for a home and a 4x6 or 5x8 ft flag. Commercial flagpoles run 20–80 ft with 5–12 inch butts, thicker walls, revolving trucks, and internal or external halyards for businesses, schools, and municipalities.
- What is a telescoping flagpole?
- A telescoping flagpole is made of nested aluminum sections that slide up and lock, so you raise and lower the flag by hand with no rope or pulley.
