High-quality and heavy duty United States of America flag, designed for long-lasting performance in windy weather condition. Constructed from high-quality polyester material, it resists fading, tearing, and moisture damage while maintaining material integrity. Featuring sewn stripes and embroidered stars on sizes up to 6x10' and appliqué stars on 8x12' and larger. Reinforced brass grommets (sizes up to 6x10') and/or galvanized thimbles with rope heading (8x12' and larger) ensure secure attachment to any standard flagpole without slipping. Proudly manufactured in the USA, this flag combines American craftsmanship with reliable construction for residential or commercial use.

When to Choose Polyester Over Nylon
Polyester is the heavy-duty answer for locations that punish flags. If you live on the coast, on an open plain, on a hilltop, or anywhere sustained wind above 25 MPH is normal, the heavier 2-ply spun polyester construction handles the beating better than a lightweight nylon flag. Fly life is similar to nylon — plan on 9–12 months of daily flight before the fly end starts to fray — but the fabric feels and looks more like traditional cotton, with the UV stability and rot resistance of a modern synthetic.
The tradeoffs: polyester is heavy and absorbs water. It needs steady wind to look right — in a 5 MPH breeze on a hot summer afternoon it will hang limp against the pole while a nylon flag flies freely. In rain and heavy storms it soaks up water and gains noticeable weight, which adds strain on the halyard and fly end. Many owners lower a polyester flag ahead of a soaking storm for that reason. Every flag is made in the USA with sewn stripes, embroidered stars, heavy-duty canvas header, and brass grommets. The 3×5 ft size fits 20 ft poles; step to 4×6 for 25 ft and 5×8 for 30 ft installations.
Choose Polyester If
- •You live within 25 miles of a coast
- •Your property is on an open plain, hilltop, or ridge
- •Sustained wind above 25 MPH is normal for your climate
- •You want maximum fly life and don't mind a heavier flag
Frequently Asked Questions
Is polyester or nylon better for a residential flagpole?
Nylon for most inland residential sites — it's lighter and flies in lower wind. Polyester if you're in a coastal, plains, or high-wind climate where fly life matters more than low-wind performance.
How long does a polyester American flag last outdoors?
Continuously flown 24/7 with proper lighting, expect 9–12 months — similar to heavyweight nylon. In extreme coastal or high-wind environments, plan to replace annually.
Does polyester get heavy when it rains?
Yes. 2-ply spun polyester absorbs water and gains meaningful weight during a soaking storm, which adds strain on the halyard and fly end. Nylon sheds water and stays close to its dry weight. Lowering a polyester flag ahead of a heavy storm is a reasonable precaution.
Is this flag made in the USA?
Yes — sewn and finished in the United States with domestically sourced 2-ply spun polyester, brass grommets, and canvas header.

I live in a very windy location and the polyester flags are the only ones that hold up in the wind. Very happy with service and quality I receive.
