| Product Line | Shaft Warranty | Hardware | Covered |

| Residential (20–30 ft) | 5 years | 1 year | Mfg defects, structural failure at rated wind |

What "Limited Lifetime" Actually Means
Our Limited Lifetime telescoping warranty covers the aluminum shaft for the lifetime of the original purchaser against manufacturing defects and structural failure when operated within rated wind loads. It is non-transferable.
What it does NOT cover: damage from hurricanes/named storms when the pole was left fully extended, modification (drilling holes, attaching unauthorized lights), or cosmetic wear like scratches and finish dulling.
How Industry Warranties Compare
Industry-typical residential flagpole warranties:
- Premium US-made brands (our tier): 5-year shaft, 1-year hardware
- Mid-tier US-assembled brands: 2–3 year shaft, 90-day hardware
- Import poles: 1 year or "lifetime" with so many exclusions it's effectively void
The key isn't the length — it's whether the company answers the phone when you file a claim. We do.
Common Warranty Exclusions to Watch For
- Acts of God / extreme weather — most flagpole warranties exclude tornadoes, hurricanes, and named storms. Lower telescoping poles before forecast events.
- Installation errors — incorrect foundation depth, missing concrete, or wrong sleeve voids coverage. Follow the install instructions.
- Modification — drilling, welding, or attaching aftermarket lights/cameras voids the shaft warranty.
- Cosmetic wear — finish fading, minor scratches, and oxidation are excluded across the industry.
- Halyard rope — considered a wear item, replaced as needed (every 3–5 years on external halyards).
How to File a Claim
If you believe your pole has a covered defect: contact us with your order number, the issue, and a photo. We respond within 1 business day. If the claim is valid, we ship a replacement at no charge to the original delivery address.
If it's not covered (impact damage, modification, installation issue), we'll tell you and offer parts at our cost where available.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the warranty on America First Flagpoles?
Telescoping flagpoles carry a Limited Lifetime shaft warranty. Residential and commercial aluminum flagpoles carry a 5-year shaft warranty. Hardware (truck, halyard, cleats, snap hooks) is covered for 1 year across all lines.
Are flagpole warranties transferable?
Our warranties are non-transferable — they cover the original purchaser. If you bought your home with an existing flagpole, the previous owner's warranty does not transfer.
Does the warranty cover hurricane damage?
No — like all major manufacturers, we exclude acts of God and named storms. The single most important storm-prep step is collapsing telescoping poles fully before the storm arrives.
How long does a flagpole typically last beyond the warranty?
Telescoping: 15+ years typical service life beyond the warranty period. Residential one-piece: 20+ years. Commercial: 25+ years. The warranty is the floor, not the expected life.
